Desde el pasado sábado, ya podemos empezar a llamarte por tu nombre, Emily!

 Nuestra ¨Gender Reveal Party" fue preciosa! Todo cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle.

Es una niña! No me lo podía creer! Siempre he soñado con tener una niña pero creía que esta vez sería un niño. Estaba tan convencida de que íbamos a tener un niño que fue toda una sorpresa saber que eras una niña. Una sorpresa maravillosa! No podía estar más feliz!

 

No te imaginas las ganas que tenemos de que llegues, de cogerte en brazos, de abrazarte, besarte, mimarte, jugar contigo y de darte todo nuestro amor hasta el último día de nuestras vidas.

 

Ya te he comprado algunas cositas de ropa. No pude resistirme! Este es el primer vestido que te he comprado para el próximo verano.

 

It´s a girl! I couldn´t believe it! I always dreamt of having a baby girl but I really thought that we were having a boy this time. I was so convinced that we were having a baby boy that finding out you are a girl was such a surprise. A wonderful surprise! I couldn´t be happier!

 

You can´t imagine how excited we are with your arrival, we can´t wait to hold you in our arms, to hug you, to kiss you, to pamper you, to play with you and give you all our love until the last day of our lifes.

 

I bought you already some clothes, I couldn´t resist! This is the first dress I got you for next summer.

 

 

Tu papá y yo estamos muy muy felices!

Niño o niña?/ Boy or Girl?



 

Por fin llego el día en el que sabremos si eres un niño o una niña. Tu papá y yo estamos muy ilusionados y no hablamos de otra cosa. El cree que vas a ser una niña pero yo sin embargo creo que vas a ser un niño. No sé, tengo ese presentimiento desde el primer día pero igual me equivovo.

Sinceramente nos da igual, niño o niña, ya te queremos muchísimo y lo más importante nos lo dijo nuestro ginecólogo ayer después de hacerte un estudio completo en una ecografía morfológica y algunos análisis de rutina que me han ido haciendo a mi. Estás muy sano/a! Eso es sin duda lo que todos queríamos oír, el resto es secundario.

 

The day is finally here! The day we'll find out whether you are a baby boy or a baby girl. Your dad and I are so excited and we can't stop talking about it. He thinks you are a girl, however, I think you are a boy. I don't know, I have that feeling since the very first day but I might be wrong.

 

Honestly, we don't care, boy or girl, we already love you so much, and the most important thing was told to us yesterday by our gynecologist. After a morphologic ultrasound and several routine lab tests, he said you are healthy! That is, no doubt, what we really wanted to hear, the rest is secondary.  

 

 

 

Este/a eres tu a las 20 semanas de embarazo. This is you at 20th week of pregnancy.

 

Hoy vamos a hacer una fiesta muy típica aquí en Estados Unidos que se llama "Gender Reveal Party". Familiares y amigos estarán ahí para compartir ese momento tan especial con nosotros. Al final de la fiesta nos traerán una tarta que tendremos que cortar. Esa tarta será por dentro rosa si eres una niña y azul si eres niño. Ayer nos escribieron la respuesta en dos sobres y uno de ellos fue llevado a la pastelería. El otro sobre es para comprobar que el pastelero no ha metido la pata :)

Así que hoy cortaremos la tarta y todos descubriremos que misterioso color lleva dentro. Qué emoción!!!

 

We are having our gender reveal party today. Family and friends will be there to share this special moment with us. At the end of the party ,we'll cut a cake. That cake will have pink icing inside, if you are a baby girl, or blue icing if you are a baby boy. They wrote the answer yesterday and put it inside of two envelopes. One of them was taken to the bakery. The other one is just to check the baker didn't screw it up :)

So we'll be cutting the cake today and we'll find out the mysterious color inside. So exciting!!!

 



 

Te estoy decorando ya tu habitación. Está quedando preciosa! Ahora sólo queda saber si el pastel es rosa o azul para empezar con los detalles.

 

Este es sin duda un momento muy especial en nuestras vidas, lo estamos viviendo todo con mucha magia.

Yo llevo notando tus patatas varias semanas por dentro, y desde la semana pasada también por fuera cuando pongo la mano. Me encantan! Esta es una de las maneras de comunicarme contigo. Yo aprieto un poquito con la mano y tú me contestas moviéndote. A veces parece que me chocas los cinco, jaja.

Tu papá aún no te había notado, pero por fin ayer por la noche lo hizo. Empezaste a moverte mucho y lo llamé  enseguida. Le puse la mano en la tripita y sintió tus pataditas. Fue muy emocionante para él!

Ya puedes oír mi voz, por eso también te suelo cantar canciones de cuna, así luego, cuando ya hayas nacido, las reconocerás y te relajarán para ir a dormir.

 

Sólo 5 horas... No puedo esperar! Niño o niña?

 

I'm working on your nursery already. It's looking very pretty so far! I just need to know the color of the cake to start with the little details.

 

This is definitely being a magic moment in our lives.

I've been feeling your kicks for few weeks from the inside and, since last week, from the outside as well. I love them! It's my way to communicate with you. I press my belly softly with the tip of my fingers and you answer with movement. Sometimes it feels like you are giving me five, haha.

Your dad hadn't felt you yet, but finally he did last night. You started moving a lot so I called him quickly. I put his hand on my belly and you kick for him. It was very exciting for him!

You can hear my voice already, so I sing lullabies to you, that way, when you have born already, you'll recognize them and they will help you to relax before going to bed.

 

Only 5 hours... I can't wait !! Boy or girl?

 

A medio camino/Half way through!

Hoy cumplo 20 semanas de gestación. Ya estoy a medio camino para conocerte. La verdad es que está pasando bastante rápido. Estas fotos son de la semana pasada, es increíble como me ha crecido la barriga en tan sólo un mes.

 

Mi cuerpo se está redondeando y los kilos van subiendo como es lógico, pero es precioso verlo y sentirlo.

 

I´m 20 weeks pregnant today!  I'm finally at the half way mark! It´s going pretty fast. These pictures were taken last week. It´s unbelievable how much my belly has grown in just one month.

 

My body is getting bigger and I´m gaining pounds obviously, but it´s beautiful seeing it and feeling it.
